Course Overview
This five -day ISO 14001:2015 Lead Auditor course will provide you with sufficient information and detailed knowledge of the ISO 14001:2015 Standard and all the necessary skills to perform process-based first-party, second-party and third-party audits based on ISO 14001:2015 Standard in the role of lead auditor managing an audit team. Through lectures, group discussion, exercises, workshops and case studies, we will explore the underlining meaning and requirements of the ISO 14001:2015 Standard and equip our attendees with all the necessary knowledge, skills and experience to plan, conduct and report process-based audits, write nonconformities and to conduct follow-up on any nonconformities in accordance with ISO 19011:2018 Standard. This course helps attendees to become qualified as lead auditors in any types of audits.
Course Description
During this course, there are twenty modules to explore different clauses of the ISO 14001:2015 Standard, the types of audits, documentation review, audit planning, conducting opening meeting, audit interview, audit team meeting and closing meeting, raising and writing nonconformances, completing corrective action report and conducting follow-up audit.
Module 1: Process-Based Environmental Management Standards In this module, you will learn about the basis of process-based environmental management system.
Module 2: Accreditation, Certification and Types of Audits In this module, you will learn the differences between accreditation and certification and different types of audits including first-party, second party and third-party audits.
Module 3: Overview In this module, you will learn the ISO 14001:2015 Standard Clause 1 to 3 including scope, normative references and terms and definitions.
Module 4: Context of the Organization In this module, you will learn the ISO 14001:2015 Standard Clause 4 about the context of the organization.
Module 5: Leadership, Planning and Support In this module, you will learn the ISO 14001:2015 Standard Clause 5, 6 and 7 about the leadership, planning and support requirements
Module 6: Identifying and Documenting Processes In this module, you will learn how to identify the processes in your organization and documenting the processes using process mapping.
Module 7: EMS Documentation In this module, you will learn the requirements of EMS documentation, how to conduct documentation review and address the Clause 7.5 Documented Information requirement in the ISO 14001:2015 Standard.
Module 8: Operation In this module, you will learn the details of the ISO 14001:2015 Standard Clause 8 about the Operation requirements.
Module 9: Performance Evaluation and Improvement In this module, you will learn the details of the ISO 14001:2015 Standard Clause 9 and 10 about the Performance Evaluation and Improvement requirements.
Module 10: Audit Planning In this module, you will learn the skills in developing process-based audit schedule and audit plan based on determined frequencies taking into consideration of different factors.
Module 11: Process-Based Checklists and Turtle Diagrams In this module, you will learn the skills in developing process-based audit checklists and turtle diagrams in order to perform process-based auditing.
Module 12: Audit Techniques and Activities In this module, you will learn the different audit techniques in performing process-based audit and what activities will be involved in an audit.
Module 13: Process Auditing and Added Value In this module, you will learn what is meant by process auditing and what shall be done to ensure that the process auditing can add value to an organization.
Module 14: Opening Meeting In this module, you will learn the skills in conducting opening meeting and what shall be covered in an opening meeting.
Module 15: Raising Nonconfomances In this module, you will learn the skills on how to raise, categorize and write nonconformances.
Module 16: Audit Team Meeting In this module, you will learn the skills in conducting audit team meeting and what shall be discussed in this meeting.
Module 17: Closing Meeting In this module, you will learn the skills in conducting closing meetings and what are the topics that shall be covered in a closing meeting.
Module 18: Audit Reporting In this module, you will learn the skills in developing audit reports and what are the topics that shall be covered in an audit report.
Module 19: Audit Follow-Up Actions In this module, you will learn the required skills in implementing audit follow-up actions including completing corrective action reports and verifying the implementation and effectiveness of the corrective actions.
Module 20: Registration Process In this module, you will learn the registration process and what shall be done to comply with the registration process.
*There are sixteen case studies and workshops included in this class. Attendees are required to actively participate in all our case studies and workshops. There will be a 2-hour written examination at the end of this class in order to provide formal evaluation of the attendees.
